Balham Beauty: The End of an Era for Arranged by Charlotte

As I sit in the Spanish sunshine reflecting on the journey that brought us here, one project keeps coming to mind — our last big one in Balham. It was bold, it was beautiful, and it truly marked the end of an era for Arranged by Charlotte in London for this time.

This wasn’t just another project — it was a full-blown production. From the first design meeting to the final styling tweaks before the photoshoot, this house saw it all. We laughed, we problem-solved (a lot!), we pivoted, and we celebrated every little win along the way. It was that perfect blend of chaos and creativity that only a real-life renovation can bring.

The site was buzzing — quite literally some days. There were builders, joiners, tilers, electricians, decorators, delivery drivers, and of course, my trusted team and trades who brought every little detail to life. Honestly, I lost count of how many people were involved — but every single one played a part in turning vision into reality.

And then came the final day. The shoot day. The moment when all the dust is gone, the cushions are fluffed, the light hits just right… and I could finally stand back and see the finished masterpiece. There’s something magical about that moment — when you see months (sometimes years!) of work captured in one still image. That Balham project was the perfect send-off before relocating. We had the fantastic Felipe Feca behind the camera, Nivert Tamraz sourced and styled the space Art by Lelli and ABC collaborated and ABL brought some amazing pieces.

It was the project that reminded me why I do what I do — the joy of being onsite, orchestrating all the moving parts, and seeing an idea come to life down to the last little vase on a shelf. It was bittersweet knowing it was the last big London job for a little while… but what a way to go out!

Thank you to everyone who was part of it — the dream trades, the patient clients, the Lucozade-bringers, and the ones who cheered me on through the long days. You made it what it was.

Balham, you’ll always have a big piece of the Arranged by Charlotte's heart.

A Little Note from Charlotte

Although I’m no longer based in London full-time, Arranged by Charlotte is still very much connected to the city that started it all. While we’ve relocated to Spain, I’ll be available for on-site work in London again from July 2025.

So if you're planning a project and would love the full ABC treatment — yes, including my hands-on, on-site project management magic — let’s chat! I’d love to hear about what you’re dreaming up.

In the meantime, our E-Design service is a great way to work together remotely — wherever you are.

With love,

Charlotte
