From Bland to Bold
Benitos is a Mexican restaurant located in Covent Garden, a prime location for a lunch/dining space with a bar. Our mission is to transform Benitos into the "go to bar" in Covent Garden as opposed to just a lunch place to pop in to grab a burrito.
Currently the space combines a mixture of Mexican and English design but lacks identity and flair. We were tasked to bring this space to life, creating the feeling of getting lost in a Mexican village. Imagine salsa music, Margaritas and the smell of amazing food surrounding you.
Arranged by Charlotte has partnered with Jegza Studio to complete this project. They were hired to re design the branding and marketing materials for Benitos. In conjunction to that, the space needed an uplift in interior design so they brought us in. We've created 4 phases of different feels and designs with the client moving forward with their preferred feel.
From there we created one light and one bold design but with the same core feel. We also implemented a lux, medium and budget tier. We haven't been given the final budget yet so we offered a range of what's possible.
ABC can now proudly present that Stage 2 of the refurb has been made and it looks great. This refurb was made on a budget with recycling and up-cyling in mind.
We wanted it to feel cosy, inviting and exotic. We designed a shutter wall with back lighting, brand colours, up-cycled the bar and gave it a face lift, painted the walls teal, pink, orange and the stair case got a big bold colour splash with a fantastic mural designed by Inga.
The out door space was inspired by Tulum and the beach parties, White, metal and the lively burned orange textiles. Matching with the terracotta pots and the cactus that's planned for Stage 3.
Below you'll see the pictures from idea to reality.
